چکیده
Abstract Background The role of surgery for the primary tumor in breast cancer patients with bone metastases (BM) remains unclear. purpose this study was to determine impact BM and develop prognostic nomograms predict overall survival (OS) BM. Methods A total 3956 from Surveillance, Epidemiology, End Results database between 2010 2016 were included. Propensity score matching (PSM) used eliminate bias non-surgery groups. Kaplan-Meier analysis log-rank test performed compare OS two Cox proportional risk regression models identify independent factors. Two constructed predicting groups, respectively. In addition, calibration curve, receiver operating characteristic (ROC) decision curve (DCA) evaluate performance nomograms. Result showed that significantly improved Based on factors, separate ROC curves these indicated both have high predictive accuracy, area under values ?0.700 training validation cohorts. Moreover, DCA strong clinical utility. results X-tile analysis, all classified low-risk-of-death subgroup had a better prognosis. Conclusion may provide benefits Furthermore, we be as tool accurately assess long-term prognosis help clinicians individualized treatment strategies.

Outcomes of Surgical Decompression for Spinal Metastases from Gynecological Cancers: A Retrospective Cohort Study
BACKGROUND & AIM: Gynecological cancer is one of the most common types of cancer worldwide. Nonetheless, spinal metastasis from gynecological cancer is scarcely reported in the literature. In cases of spinal cord compression, the standard treatment is a decompressive surgery followed by radiotherapy treatment for selected patients. This study aimed to report the overall survival and surgical re...
متن کاملOncoplastic Breast Conserving Surgery with Nipple Preservation for Breast Cancer: a Retrospective Cohort Study
Although oncoplastic breast conserving therapy (oBCT) has become a commonly used treatment for breast cancer (Spear SL et al., 2003), there has been concern over its use for centrally located tumors. It is accepted that a central lumpectomy with resection of the nipple-areolar complex (NAC) correlates with poor aesthetic outcomes. Also, there is little data to support central lumpectomy without...

Prognostic factors associated with survival in patients with symptomatic spinal bone metastases: a retrospective cohort study of 1,043 patients.
BACKGROUND Expected survival is a major factor influencing extent of treatment for symptomatic spinal bone metastases (SBM). Predictive models have been developed, but their use can lead to over- or undertreatment.. The study objective was to identify prognostic factors associated with survival in patients with symptomatic SBM and to create a validated risk stratification model. METHODS All p...
